Companion Care for End of Life
Available to Local Residents of San Antonio, Texas (and Surrounding Areas)
Gentle Presence, emotional support, and meaningful connection
for individuals and families during life’s final chapter.
At Rooted to Self, Companion Care is about being present, listening deeply, and honoring the wishes of both the person at end of life and their loved ones. This is non-medical support designed to bring comfort, conversation, and peace of mind. I do not administer medications, reposition, change briefs, or provide bathing care. My focus is on emotional and practical companionship ensuring no one feels alone in this time.
What Companion Care Includes at Rooted to Self:
Gentle, present companionship at home, in hospice, or in a care facility
Emotional support for both the individual and family members
Conversation, storytelling, reading aloud, or quiet presence based on the client’s preference
Support in coordinating visits or special moments with loved ones
Light non-medical assistance such as offering water, adjusting pillows, or tidying personal items
Respectful alignment with the individual’s values and wishes
Pricing and Support
Everyone’s situation is different, and the support you need might shift as things change. Because of that, pricing is flexible. Our first consultation, up to 60 minutes, is always free. It gives us a chance to talk honestly about what is happening, what feels heavy, and what kind of help would actually make a difference.
After that, I put together a personalized package based on your needs and your timeline. You will receive an Agreement so everything feels clear and straightforward before we begin.
If you only need help with certain parts, hourly options are available.
I believe everyone deserves support during life’s harder seasons. Rooted to Self offers discounted rates for ABODE clients, active or retired military, and active or retired front line responders.
If finances are getting in the way of receiving care, tell me. We can talk about it and see what is possible.
